Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does Horsehair Video Productions do?

A: We’re a video production company that works with ad agencies, large corporations, nonprofit organizations, individuals, small businesses and other entities to produce external marketing videos and internal video projects. Our videos are typically promotional or educational in nature.

Q. Who owns the video you shoot for me?

A: You do. A lot of production companies stipulate their ownership. We don’t believe that’s fair. You may want to use your video for another project. That''s fine with us.

Q. Who does the shooting and editing?

I do !  We do not sub-contract ANYTHING unless you specifically want us to. Otherwise, we do everything in-house.

Q. Do you do Pro-Bono work?

Absolutely. If you need a video produced outside the U.S. for your non-profit organization, we'll do it for out of pocket expenses. We have a long list of NGO's that we've done this for.

Do you do Weddings?

Only destination Weddings.

How about Vacation Videos?

We love shooting Vacation videos.

Q. If everything is shot in High Def digital, is there a risk my footage will get deleted by accident?

A: No, because we have a redundant back-up system. If you ever lose or accidentally delete your video, we can provide you a new one.

Q. How much do you charge and why can't I find this information on your website?

A. All video projects are different. Some are easier to produce than others. If there are several locations involved, for example, we have to charge more than if we stayed in one place. Also, editing takes time. A LOT of time, and has to be factored in to the total price. If you want us to just shoot and not edit, that will make a big difference in the price.

Why do some companies only charge $99.00 for a video?

The same reason some dinners cost $4.95
